Looking for some new books this October? Check out our favourite Halloween Books for Toddlers!
I think we can all agree that Halloween looks a little different this year!
We are still celebrating the holiday as best as we can!
Pumpkins have been painted, costumes have been picked out and lots of books have been read!
Last year Aren didn’t quite get Halloween, rightfully so. He was just about 14 months and besides the fact that he wore a Cookie Monster costume, nothing else really mattered.
This year, thanks in a large part due to reading, he is all about the kid friendly holiday.
Pumpkins and ghosts are his favourite and I swear he has even begun reciting some words from Monster Mash!
While I’m not sure what we will do come Saturday, I know we will do something fun. In the meantime we will continue to read our favourites!
Check out our picks and do let me know if you guys have favourite Halloween books for toddlers that we missed!
Little Blue Truck’s Halloween: Definitely a kid favourite, we are all about Little Blue over here so this book was a natural pick! Expect the same classic storytelling as the other Little Blue books!
The Spooky Wheels on the Bus: Picked this one up for Aren this year and it’s definitely his favourite! Expect lots of singing along to this one!
Bonaparte Falls Apart: A little more mature for Aren right now, I love the message of this book however it’s better suited for next year.
Little Cat: Picked this one up for him last year but he is all about the Little Cat this year! A cute finger puppet book for all kids.
Goodnight Goon: If you’ve been reading Goodnight Moon to your little one, you will definitely want to pick this up!
Boo: Another cult classic, we love the Leslie Patricelli books so this was a no brainer!
Babies Love Halloween: Works well with infants as well as toddlers, we’ve been reading this one for two years now!!
Llama Llama Trick or Treat: Tbh Aren is not a huge Llama Llama fan but he loves this book and it was his first introduction into costume!
The Little Ghost Who Didn’t Like to be Scary: We’ve become ghost obsessed over here so I recently just ordered this one!
