A quick guide on binge masking and a few of my favourite Fresh masks!
While I’m not huge on skincare fads, I do love masking so I was definitely intrigued when I heard about binge masking. I had so many questions but luckily the kind folks over at Fresh Beauty decided to help a girl out and give her some insight into the process.
After trying out a few of their suggested combinations, I thought it only fair to share my knowledge with you guys! Read on for the scoop!
So first things first, what is binge masking?
Binge masking is when you apply multiple masks on your skin over a short period of time. You do this by applying one, letting it sit for a set period of time, rinsing off and starting over.
Why would I want to do that instead of just applying one mask nightly?
Binge masking allows you to reap the benefits of multiple masks without having to spend hours on your skin care regiment. It’s perfect for satisfying multiple concerns or problem areas you may have.
Isn’t applying all of these products to my skin harmful?
Not if you apply them properly! As long as you are applying them in the right order you should be fine. And stick to three or less per masking session. Think of when you go for a facial and there are multiple products applied to your skin- the trick is just in the order! For example, always make sure that the most moisturizing mask is applied last.
I tried a few of the suggested binge masking combinations so I thought I’d share my favourite trio! It gave me that post facial glow- you know, that snapchat filter look that I crave 🙂
Fresh Wonder Glow Binge Masking
You’ll need three masks for this one, the Vitamin Nectar Mask, Rose Face Mask and Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. Total time for this process is 20-30 minutes
- -Step One- Massage the Vitamin Nectar Mask onto clean skin and let it sit for ten minutes. Rinse off with warm water and a washcloth.
- -Step Two- Apply mask number 2, the Rose Face Mask. Leave this one on for 5-10 minutes and repeat rinsing process.
- -Step Three- Massage third mask (Black Tea Mask) onto skin for 5-10 minutes. Once again, repeat rinsing process.
Super easy right? Yes, 20-30 minutes is a time commitment, but you can actually do things while the mask is sitting on your skin! It can be downtime just for you, or if you can’t sit still for that long, time spent checking emails and things you would normally do anyways! Except now, you’ll have soft and glowing skin- check and check!!
