Date night seems to get increasingly harder to plan as a relationship progresses. After the movies and those perfect ‘first date’ restaurants, we’re often left wondering what to do! I love doing a fun and casual date night at home: it’s easy, cost effective and better for your waistline! I’ve partnered with SunGold Meats to show you a super easy and yummy lamb menu perfect for your next date night!
In the beginning of our relationship, Ara and I used to eat out at A LOT of restaurants. Being a long distance couple for several years meant consolidating all of our date nights into one intense weekend monthly where we literally ate out for every meal.
When we finally moved in with each other, date nights got a whole lot more casual, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!
Our favorite thing to do on Fridays is cook a yummy dinner and catch up on each other’s weeks. Truth be told, post dinner there’s usually a good chance of a Netflix binge session as well!
I’m all about the easy meals, so when SunGold Meats asked me to try out some of their Lamb Tonight products, I couldn’t pass up the chance!
Think prepackaged, premarinated meats that pretty much do the work for you. You can purchase them ahead of time, pop in the freezer, and just take out the morning of. Best part is that it is locally raised right here in Canada and contains no fillers or preservatives!
Dinner doesn’t get any easier than this I promise! Just throw a small side or salad with it and dinner is ready!
Because date night does need to be a little more special in my books, I put together two gorgeous (and easy!) dishes for us. Combined prep and cook time? 30 minutes! I served up some mini lamb meatballs with yogurt dip as an appetizer, and then some flatbreads topped with lamb sausage, feta and a healthy dose of arugula!
It was honestly so easy to make, and best of all looked pretty fancy 🙂
I used the lamb sausages and the ground seasoned lamb for my dishes, but there are so many more options available. Lamb skewers, burgers, meatballs, pretty much anything you could want for a date night meal! Like I mentioned, everything is pre seasoned, so no need to search for fancy ingredients or spend any extra time in the kitchen.
