Ingredients

  • 1 lb pasta
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3/4 cup cooking cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Boil pasta according to package directions. Drain well and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, warm up oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
Remove beef from pan and set aside.
  • Add onion and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add in garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Toss in seasonings and coat well. Add flour to onion mixture and stir till well incorporated.
*If you feel like there isn't enough oil at any point in this process, feel free to add more. It will depend on how lean your ground beef was.
  • Pour in tomato sauce and broth. Bring to a boil and let simmer, stirring occasionally for 15 minutes until sauce slightly reduces.
Add in your cooked pasta and ground beef and mix well. Pour in your cooking cream and cream cheese. Stir everything together until heated throughout.
Add cheddar cheese on top, lightly stir till melted.
  • Serve immediately.
