With one week to go till Thanksgiving, I am all about the fall inspired treats and meals.
From apple crisps to cinnamon covered anything, fall desserts are always the best ones don’t you think?!
We will be headed to Boston for Thanksgiving where we will pretty much stuff our faces with all of the above!
But what we look forward to the most has got to be my mom’s apple pie.
She’s been pretty much making the same pie for years now, and her recipe is foolproof. And lucky for all of us she is sharing the filling recipe of her go to pie today!
Now she did offer to give up her crust recipe as well, but somethings are better left in the family don’t you think!? And anyways these days I’m more of a semi homemade kind of gal. Meaning store bought crust is right up my alley!
But if you pair that store bought crust with a delicious homemade filling like this one, no one will be the wiser. I promise!!
Scroll down for the details and happy early Thanksgiving to my American friends!!
