A quick and easy spin on the usual margarita, say hello to a fresh and light version, our sparkling margarita!
In honour of Cinco de Mayo which is just a few short weeks away, I’m revisiting an old favourite. This Sparkling Margarita recipe was actually one of my first cocktails over on my old site! It’s definitely one of my favourites but it’s so good that it deserved a fresh take with some new pictures.
Truth be told, I kind of sort of hated Margaritas for a long time. I think it was just too much salt and tequila- it reminded me of college parties all over again.
But this sparkling margarita? It’s a little different! You definitely can have more than one.
I think it’s the mix of citrus plus carbonation that makes it a little more Gigi friendly.
I actually LOVE drinking these. And I love having a few different kinds of citrus in it. I think it really gives it a fresh taste that margaritas don’t always have.
Hate the salt rim? You can definitely do without.
Want to make it stronger? Just add more tequila!
It’s a super easy drink to customize and it’s as easy to make. Read on for the recipes and Happy Cinco de Mayo!
