Sharing a few of our favourite bathtime essentials that are a must for both boy!
There’s soooo many baby items out there- from diaper creams to shampoos to hair brushes- there’s so many options!
And as a new mom it’s super easy to get confused and overwhelmed by all the products out there.
Today we’re sharing our favourites- these are items that have passed the test with Aren and are currently passing the test with Shiraz too 😉 Maybe you’re a new mom and have no idea where to start. Or maybe you are just looking for reviews of a certain product you’re thinking of getting!
Regardless, I hope this list is useful to you! We’ve rounded up our go to bath time essentials, along with a few extra things that make bath time fun!
Bath Time Essentials
We’ve been using this Burt’s Bees Shampoo and Body Wash since Aren’s first bath. It’s super gentle and great for their skin. It was a no brainer that we would use it for Shiraz too!
We received this Hello Bello Bubble Bath as a PR sample a while back and are hooked! I’ve ordered several since and once again, we use the same for Shiraz! It bubbles really well and is also super gentle for their skin.
Another Burt’s Bees favourite in our house, this diaper cream was my favourite out of all the ones I had tried. It works really quickly!
Every first time parent is scared to cut their kids nail’s right?! I did major research and read so many reviews before ordering this nail clipper for Aren when I was pregnant. I find it easy to use and I’ve never cut their skin- success! Once again, using the same exact item for Shiraz as I had no reason to look for another option.
Once again I did my fair share of research before purchasing this Natemia brush for Baby Aren! It’s super soft and gentle making it a must for your newborn’s head. We used it for Aren until he was about 2, and are now using it on Shiraz.
Hello La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm! If you follow me on IG you’d remember that a few months ago I was looking for a new cream for Shiraz! Well, this is the one that ended up passing the test! I tried a few other creams that are perhaps more well known on the market but they just didn’t help with his super dry skin. This stuff? Amazing. All of his dry patches are officially gone. We love it so much we are using now on Aren as well!
Once Aren outgrew his baby bath, we knew we needed a shower mat to prevent him from slipping in the tub. We ordered this one from Amazon and it’s a hit! He loves the animals on it, and we love the fact that he doesn’t slip! It’s also a great deal.
These days Aren wants to bring everything into the tub for bath time. But he always plays with his little basketball net! It doesn’t take up much space and stays clean which is a must. The net ties at the bottom so you can keep the balls in place when they’re not being used.
We incorporated brush teeth into our bath time routine for Aren- this way we don’t forget and it provides an ‘activity’ for him to do while in the tub. As a first time mom I was a little nervous about toothpaste which is why this Colgate Flouride Free Toothpaste was a must- it’s best for kiddos under 2!
Other: I had to include Boogie Wipes onto this list. Even though it’s not necessarily a bath time essential, we would be lost without them! When Aren first started daycare his nose was so red from all of his runny noses. Like there was actually a cut under his nose- we switched entirely to Boogie Wipes for him and haven’t looked back! Yes, they’re pricy and not an essential. But for those bad colds in the winter they’re a must for us!
