An quick breakfast that can also be made in the air fryer, these healthy baked chocolate banana oats are so simple to make and definitely satisfy that chocolate craving!
Baked Oats are definitely having a moment these days- especially over on social media! They’re all the rage and for a good reason- they’re delicious, filling and healthy!
I had to jump on the bandwagon and after some trial and error came up with this spin. Healthy Baked Chocolate Banana Oats! I like to describe it as tasting like chocolatey banana bread! It’s so good 😉
They’re quite simple to make: you literally through everything into a blender and then pour it into a greased ramekin or a muffin pan. Pop it into the oven and you are all set! So easy and delicious!
A fan of using your air fryer?
Good news, you totally can! Just decrease the bake time and it works just as well. I would go with 10-11 minutes max.
These would be so great and easy to make for a family brunch, or to just meal prep for a busy week ahead. Store in the fridge and then warm it up in the microwave or oven when you want to eat one.
Speaking of family brunch, you also have to try these baked granola cups– just saying!
My biggest issue with the baked oats trend was that I found the insides to be too gooey at times- and since there’s egg in it, I could never decide if it was actually cooked through or not.
This recipe comes up a bit more spongey with only a slightly gooey centre that I love.
Ps you can totally switch up the ingredients.
Here are a few other filling ideas:
- blueberries
- raisins
- chia seeds
- cinnamon/brown sugar
